Accessibility Project

On behalf of the Capital Campaign Steering Team we want to extend a big thank you to everyone who was involved with making our Kickoff Event so wonderful and successful. We are still in awe with the amount of advance pledges submitted so far. We began our campaign this summer with the goal of raising $675,000 in pledges. Have you heard? Jay Terbush, our campaign consultant, announced at the kickoff that we are well on our way to our campaign goal! We still have a ways to go and we want everyone to play a part in building this project. We also realize not everyone is in a position to make a large pledge. We hope you will pray for the success of this project and consider making a sacrificial pledge yourselves, however large or small your gift might be. If you received our letter this week, you’re aware that within the next few weeks, someone from our team will be in touch to arrange a visit with you to discuss the project and to ask for your confidential pledge.  November 12th here at church will be our Celebration Sunday, marking the end of the campaign. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact us or Margaret Wheeler, our campaign treasurer. Thank you!

With much gratitude,
The Accessibility Project Team

What is this Capital Campaign about?
We have an old historic building and though we appreciate its character, we realize that our church is not accessible to all. For many years we have had discussions and been frustrated by the lack of access to our programs and activities. We want to be a welcoming church community and as such, we are raising money for an addition to the building that includes an elevator. This project will allow our church to share God’s hospitality and better equip us to fulfill our church’s mission of Sharing Christ and Changing Lives’ for present and future generations. The addition will provide street level access and create an attractive, welcoming space.
