Backpack Drive – Each year, our congregation partners with Nvidia Westford to collect, fill, and distribute hundreds of backpacks for youth in need from pre-k up through college. We look forward to our next backpack drive in August 2023!
Service Sunday – In August of 2022, we held our first Service Sunday, which included a barbecue lunch, games for the kids, distribution of backpacks, and collections for local charities. We are excited to continue this tradition every year to coincide with our Backpack Drive! For more information, please click here!
Common Cathedral / City Reach – For years, our church youth have collected donations for the unhoused community in Boston, and attended City Reach, where they learn directly from those experiencing homelessness. For more information, click here!
Loaves and Fishes – Loaves and Fishes is a food pantry that supports families in need in Groton and other local towns. Several times a year, we bring a collection of food to support their efforts, and church members regularly volunteer at the pantry.
Catie’s Closet – One of our newer partnerships is with Catie’s Closet, a local organization that sets up free “stores” in schools to provide children living in poverty with clothes, toiletries, and other basic essentials. We have a collection box outside our sanctuary to collect new and gently used clothes and other items.
