Upcoming and Recurring Events

Choral Exploratory – Adult Choir Open Rehearsals: Thursdays in September at 7:00pm, Sanctuary
Join the Adult Choir for an opportunity for people who have not sung with us before to get the feel for what we do leading up to our Sunday Worship. Join with us, taste new sounds, meet with old friends, encounter new friends in new ways, to blend or voices together and make music! For the month of September, we invite people to sample our rehearsals, take part, be a part, with no expectations. Just taste and see the goodness of God! Experience how God blesses us through music!

Faith 3.0 Worship Series: Starting Sunday, September 11 at 10:00am
Need to upgrade your spiritual side? Need some faith updates? Is your trust in God running a little slow these days? We all need to rethink and reframe our ideas, assumptions, and understandings when it comes to faith, God, church, and life. It’s easy to know when something we believe is no longer working or helpful, but rarely if ever do we hear what might be put in its place. The aim of this series is to provide some open-source upgrades and updates that you can install in your life.

Thursday Morning Bible Study: Thursdays Starting September 15, 10:00am, in the Parlor
The Thursday Morning Bible Study, led by Marvin Caldwell, will be starting back up on September 15th! This is a divergent group of people who use the Bible as a baseline. Conversations explore the meanings that lie in the text for us.  Conversation is lively and respectful.  We welcome all who want to share interpretation and application of our Scriptures.

Themes in Thirty: Navigating Grief – Yours and Other’s Sunday, September 18, after worship in the Parlor
“Themes in Thirty” refers to topics of faith and spirituality that we will be chatting about for thirty minutes. No pre-reading required. The theme for the next group will be “Navigating Grief – Yours and Others.”  Often, the pain of loss — any type of loss, not just death — can feel overwhelming. The more significant the loss to the person experiencing grief, the more intense — and possibly long-lasting — the grief will be.  Whether you’re dealing with your own grief, or trying to help someone deal with theirs, you may sometimes be at a loss for what to do. In thirty minutes, we’ll talk about when we’ve struggled with loss, what has been helpful, and what might have been helpful, if only someone had thought of it.

Monday Evening Book Group: Five Monday Nights at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom

New People’s Luncheon: Sunday, September 25th following worship
Join us for a luncheon to get together and chat over a yummy meal! This is just an informal gathering to get to know each other, make some new friends, and ask any questions you may have about the church.
