Christmas Missions Offering

The Missions Team has committed to selecting and supporting the following three opportunities for giving this Christmas. Will you join us in increasing our church’s ministry impact?

  1. The Groton Local Heating/Emergency Fund which provides emergency assistance to local families for heat, electricity, and more. This is a great way to care for our local neighbors
  2. City Reach/Common Cathedral in downtown Boston is a powerful urban ministry to people who are unhoused. They provide clothing, meals, social support, a weekly outdoor worship service, and so much more. They have been near and dear to our church family for many years.
  3. The Sri Lankan Partnership – the primary reason for Rev. Corey’s upcoming trip – involves helping fellow Christians overseas who are living in poverty. Corey will be working with them when he is there in January and will have pictures and stories to share when he returns.

To support any or all of these missions, please write your check to “UCC Groton,” and use the memo line to specify which mission you would like to support: Missions/Heating, Missions/CityReach, or Missions/Sri Lanka. To give online, please select the ‘Christmas Angel’ Fund. Donations received online will be evenly distributed between the three projects. These gifts can be mailed to the office or placed in the offering plate on Sundays. All missions giving must be received by December 27th to count toward your 2022 tax statement. We thank you for you generosity in serving people in need – locally, in our state, and around the world.
